  • Make requests of the resource and receive responses
  • Alert appropriate staff with emails and text messages

To do this the GeoSystems Monitor often must:

  • Be able to go through a Proxy server to access services on the net
  • Access an internal / or external Email server for alerting
  • Be a member of the domain to facilitate use of Microsoft security
  • Be able to reach servers to be monitored

It is important to understand and plan for these requirements during installation.
