Installing GeoSystems Monitor in the Cloud

The GeoSystems Monitor can be installed either on a locally hosted server or on a server in the cloud.  Some considerations for cloud hosting of the GeoSystems Monitor:

• Benefits
  • A cloud installation can be a low cost solution with low infrastructure requirements for a customer interested in monitoring services without the burden of hosting a continuously available server internally.
  • A cloud hosted GeoSystems Monitor provides a true external view of the system for performance and system availability monitoring.
• Requirements:
  • The hardware and software requirements for a cloud-hosted server are the same as for a locally hosted server. 
  • In order for a service to be monitored from a cloud installation of the GeoSystems Monitor that service must be accessible by the GeoSystems Monitor cloud server at the application level.
